Hazard - Jeanie St Anzac Hwy Kerb repairs in bike lane
To West Torrens City Council (csu@wtcc.sa.gov.au)
Photos attached
On the corner of Jeanie St and Anzac Hwy there have been kerb repairs.
When there was an open trench (that was a hazard to Cars), there was bunting and bollards to prevent vehicles from the hazard.
Now that the kerb is fixed and the trench is filled (partially) there remains A HAZARD TO CYCLISTS, yet the bunting and bollards are removed.
The edge of the partially filled trench travels for more than 2 metres in the direction of travel.
This edge will "trip" a cyclist and cause a fall ONTO the roadway.
Avoiding the hazard will cause a collision with a passing vehicle not expecting the change of direction.
Please return the bunting and bollards to warn cyclists and motorists, reducing the hazard to the cyclists using the Anzac Hwy Bike lane.
Please also adjust your processes to prevent this hazard from occuring in the future.

Killer buses...
Yes, Killer buses!
Many Adelaide buses "Crab" down the road. The back of the bus is more than 100mm closer to the kerb (and cyclist) than the front.
Proof...
http://rideoutloud.blogspot.com/search/label/Hazard%20-%20Killer%20bus
The video shows the driver has the front of the bus well outside of the white line of the bike lane, yet the back of the bus is well inside the line of the bike lane.
Video evidence has been sent to the Department of Transport twice with no action or response.
Beware the sound of a bus coming up behind you...
