Dear Anthony,

Council has received an email received from a resident of Holdfast Bay with respect to the subsided Telstra pit adjacent the pedestrian pram ramp at the corner of Anzac Highway and Grove Street, Glenelg East.

Attached is a copy of the photo detailing the area of concern for your reference.

Given that this presents an immediate hazard to cyclists and pedestrian, can you please ensure that Telstra staff inspect and organise necessary works as soon as possible.

Many Thanks

Kind Regards

Ben Wright

REPEATED Hazard advice, Esplanade 5090dz

The hazard on the Esplanade reported 29 Nov has not been removed.

There is a 60mm plus hole where an unsealed trench on the Esplande [sic], west side near Marine Parade ( in section of Esplanade [sic] where the footpath works are in progress.

The hazard is approx 1 metre out from the left edge, which will either be hit by cyclists, or cause a cyclist to swerve unexpectedly.

The road is narrowed by the works, and a cyclist moving 1 metre will collide with passing vehicles that do not expect the change in direction by the cyclist avoiding the hazard.

This is a popular route for cyclists and the hole will cause damage or injury if struck.

If there is any delay in reinstating the bitumen please monitor unsealed sections so hazards are prevented.
